Also, Brian encourages folks to seriously consider supporting the Western Maine Fish and Game Club (WMFG) in Harrison. Folks "from away" can do the same, too! Few are aware that WMFG is an active participant in local activities and events. Business meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
Come join us! See our new clubhouse! The club is making great progress improving the range! Come see what the club has to offer. Become a member! Enjoy and support your local range!
The club used to conduct the required Hunter Safety Course twice a year, in April and September. Since COVID, this activity has been suspended. For information sake, the course used to take two days. When and if the club renews its course, it will be an in-person course one day, usually a Sunday, and will require the completion of an online course prior to the in-person class. Visit the club website to see if the course is avaiable; for course dates and related details. By the way, did you know that, weather permitting, the WFMG range is open to the public for trap shooting most Sundays at 9:00 AM! (10 AM in the winter, also, weather permitting!) (Also, during the summer, Tuesday evenings 5:00PM until sunset!) That's right! One does not have to be a member to enjoy the range! See you Sunday?? (Or Tuesday??)
